I am clearly not from Andalusia but I feel really lucky and grateful to be here. Honestly, I haven't been everywhere but I can say that Andalusia is one of the most interesting places in the world. What I like most about it is that it is like a breathing piece of art--full of history and very rich in culture. I love how sometimes walking around makes me feel like I am also in the north of Africa. Almost every single thing exudes character and identity, most especially the people.
Andalusians are warm and generally happy, approachable and helpful, relaxed and calm. Somehow they make me feel as if I were still back at home. I used to consider the Andalusian accent horrible, but ever since I've gotten used to it, I think it's adorable and fascinatingly unique. I really take pride in being able to understand it, if not speak it. I am certain that losing this accent means losing an entire culture altogether. So like in most things, you just have to get used to it.
Andalusia is definitely a Spanish pride and a treasure to keep. It is a place I'll hold dear in my heart so deep! Viva Andalucia!!!
